Writing to overseas politicians?

Hey everyone,

I live in the UK and always have done, I am 100% British but I really want to collect autographs from foreign heads of state or congressmen, senators or other representatives. In particular of course Barack Obama although I know there is no chance of getting him. I have tried for George W Bush in the past and was told that he couldn't send anything outside of America or something like that?

Does anyone have experience with this or can anyone give me some tips?
