Yesterday, as Arsenal did the unthinkable and remembered how to win a trophy, north of the border St Johnstone won their first major trophy in their 130 year history. Despite working through most of the day, I got to Celtic Park in time for the end of the match to see who I could meet, and to pick up some kit from the team.
There were more than a few guests at the game, including some of the British Womens' Curling Team from Sochi, and Ricky Ross of Deacon Blue, but I was destined to miss them due to the weather and the lay out of buses being parked etc.
I was pretty chuffed to get ...
Cup Final Programme signed by loads of the winning St J team including scorers Steven Anderson and Steven MacLean.
Defender Frazer Wright gave me a bag of goodies including the shorts he wore in the final, his training top from the game, which has the match details on it, as well as his waterproof jacket with the same.
Brian Easton also donated his training top which, like Frazer's, still smells of beer from the celebrations!
Paddy Cregg donated a pair of his boots, which have been promised for a couple of seasons
Loads of players were kicking about, and I managed pics with several, including a great pic with Frazer with the cup in his hands, and a pic of upcoming star Stevie May with his medal. Another stand out was a pic with Dave Narey, famous for his "toe poke" against Brazil!

The St Johnstone guys have been awesome with me in the past to help with my fundraising, and I am delighted that they have this moment of glory. I'm particularly delighted for big Frazer, who is one of the nicest guys in the game, and who handed me that bag of goodies without question, supporting me for the third year in a row. What. A. Guy.
