Fake as sh*t!

You can tell without even comparing, because of the obvious pauses in the signature ...

NO ONE pauses to think when they are signing in real life.

basically mccartneys sig changed a lot over the years, so not much point in comparing them

I have placed a known authentic next to the one in question. You'll notice a couple of changes.

Image

First of all the P is different, you'll notice in the authentic that the steam is straight and not rounded.

The A and U are more spaced. Spacing never changes when signatures are written faster or slower.

And most importantly you will notice in the known authentic that there is spacing between the L and the M.

It is 100% not authentic. I'm sorry!

i agree with everyone else,
its a great attempt at his sig, but it looks very slowly drawn out, not quick and fluid

I don't think your Grandfather was trying to lie, but just come up with a cool story to tell his grandson. It looks to me like someone sat down and SLOWLY tried to write Paul McCartney's name the same way Paul does. Would it have been authentic, there would have been more of a free flow to it. This to me looks very tight and very tense. Sorry, but I also say FAKE.
