Gah it's crazy how far over the fandom it's got xD
How did you find out about it if you don't mind me asking?
Aw thanks :') I couldn't actually believe it tbh...and now I've had papers coming to me and all, just for meeting Ben! It's mental!
Hahahaha, I know! I gotta agree about the craziness. Who knew your meeting would become so popular outside of tumblr. :) I actually first heard about it when I searched Benedict Cumberbatch on Google News when I was looking for any updates on the filming of "Sherlock" season 3. This was one of the articles I found: http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/ ... z2Peo4rjPE
There was a much longer and more complete one, but I can't find it. I also saw pictures on cumberbatchweb's tumblr. :)

It actually really offended me when you say that 'Benedict isn't very nice'
Thats absolute ****!
I've been very lucky in having the chance to meet him, and he is the most down to earth person I have ever met. He dedicated 10 minutes to talk to me, even though it was getting on for 10pm, he'd just done about 11 hours filming, and it was bloomin' cold outside AND he had his car waiting.
He's so appreciative of his fans, you just have no idea.
I've got the whole story on meeting him on my page https://www.facebook.com/JenBaberAutographCollection
He could have just signed my stuff and had no photo and gone. Or he could have said no to everything, but he didn't. He spent - what seemed like ages - with me, and was so caring and compassionate.
One little story where he may have been having a bad day is your full evidence that he's not very nice? Which could easily have been manipulated as it's the media?
Where as I have this personal story and ,any of my friends stories to back me up on how gentlemanly and lovely this guy is. He's an absolute hero to me, and although you're entitled to an opinion, I believe you're wrong here.
OMG ASDFGHJKL YOU WERE THAT LUCKY GIRL THAT WAS ALL OVER THE NEWS?!?!?!?!?!!?!?? THAT WHOLE STORY WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING!!! And you, in my opinion, have been the luckiest fan in the entire world, so far. :)

eg9517: Yeah, it's no use arguing and bumping up this old topic, but I wonder who started it... Not to be mean, but there's some irony going on here. And I agree with JenPotterhead. I've met theater actors after plays (mostly Shakespeare) and man, were they a wreck!!! Some were less relenting in signing stuff (these are just nobodies, mind) but actors can choose if they want to sign, etc, etc, etc. Acting is a very exhausting career. Even being an extra.

JenPotterhead wrote:That doesn't make him not a nice person. He may have had something he needed to get to, or had something personal going on, or not feeling well. You just don't know. It's unusual of him to behave like that considering how much he does appreciate his fans. They need a life too, and if he didn't have time to see to everyone, well then, yes it's a shame, but at least he signed for those 3 people. He didn't even have to do that.

Yeah I suppose. Who cares anyways. No use arguing over a celebrity. There are better and more important issues in the world to care about such as world poverty , starvation etc. etc.

No. I have had experience with this guy and he wasn't very nice. He went over and signed like 3 things for the far end and left without acknowledging anyone else. He didn't even smile or anything. Then left in his limo.

& ElfMaidenArcher, kudos for being a cool Cumberbabe. and finding the address! I didn't end up sending to this one (though now I'm so wishing I did). if you ever find another address for one of his upcoming projects, send me a PM or post it. I'd love to try to send him a letter too! :)
