However, basically New York is currently -5 hours behind the UK, but as of this Sunday (30th Oct) the UK reverts back to GMT (we are currently on Daylight Saving Time), so the difference would then be -4 hours.

Well, I'm not sure where you are, but I believe England is 5 hrs ahead of the U.S. (in Eastern Standard Time).
