Honorable Dick Thornburgh served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania from 1969–1975, 41st Governor of Pennsylvania from 1979-1987, and as 76th United States Attorney General from 1988-1991. He is a moderate Republican. Also when he was an U.S. Attorney General he helped push for the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 to help protect people with disabilities from being discriminated in public places including education.
On 4/12/2019 I mailed a letter explaining how I find Honorable Thornburgh's work to be very inspiring to me at:
Honorable Dick Thornburgh
c/o Dick Thronburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy
University of Pittsburgh
Hillman Library
3960 Forbes Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15260
(took about 10 months)
On 1/17/2020 I received a nice letter from him
