Clelia Murphy - Irish Soap Actress - Pioneering Success!

by stigduke » Fri Jun 27, 2014 7:01 pm

Clelia Murphy is an Irish soap actress, best known for her role as down-to-earth mother of two Niamh Cassidy-Brennan in the Irish soap opera Fair City.

Sent 1 LOR, SASE and 8x10 photo on 04/06/2014. On 25/06/2014, I received my photo signed with an inscription which says "Congratulations and well done with your project", in which Ms. Murphy congratulated me on completing my special fanmail project marking the 25th anniversary of Fair City, which will be marked on September 19th 2014.

Address used was:
Clelia Murphy
c/o Fair City Office
RTÉ
Donnybrook
Dublin 4.

Sorry no scanner.

In addition to completing a major fanmail project, this was also a pioneering success. The photo I sent for signing was the subject of a successful photographic experiment I devised, called 'syntheography' (derived from the words 'SYNTHEsized PhotOGRAPHY), where photos of small size can be enlarged to look like 8x10 photos in an instant. The photo I chose off the internet was only 41kb in size, meaning it couldn't be fit to be printed as an 8x10. But, using a mobile phone camera aimed at the chosen image as it was shown on the computer screen, I took a photo of the image and it resulted in a flawless full size photo at 407kb, nearly ten times it's original size. Best thing is, no pixels, no static lines and no reflections off the computer screen appeared in the photo. Since receiving this reply, I am doing similar experiments with baseball cards and Panini football stickers.
