Yes, that quote is commonly attributed to Einstein, but there's evidence that it was used before his time.
I've written to many different people on more then on one occasion. I've gotten RTS or just nothing back. And after several attempts I finally got my authentic Paul Walker and Russell Crowe autographs. It's apart of the hobby. At first you don't succeed - try try again.
nothing insane about that.
Yes, but when you're writing to one person at the same address with the same letter and you keep getting the same "We don't sign" letter back, then at some point, you are wasting your stamps.
There's a difference between an RTS or getting nothing back (maybe it got lost in the mail) and receiving a letter saying "We don't sign" that's been consistently sent out for years.
Writing back in a way that responds to their letter is another ballgame entirely. Like the other user said, if you write and say "Yeah, I know the letter says '....', but I really want an authentic signature", that may change the game.
However, writing 5 different requests will yield you 5 failures.
