I have 6x8 envelopes coming back with a brithday card and 1 piece of A4 paper and it is getting through ok.

Should be ok for 6x8 with a photo in it.

You can calculate postage on the USPS website and that will give you an idea if you weigh the letter/photo
Thank you :)

You can then buy a sheet of Global Forever stamps which they will send to you.

1 stamp should be enough to cover 1 photo.

You can also work out the weight of the return envelope. Do a postage rate check on USPS website and then put the relevant amount of global stamps on to make up the value. They are approx $1.10 a stamp.

Sheet of 20 cost about $28 inc postage to UK.

I buy 2 sheets at a time costing about £25 in total and then just use them when I need them.

Link to stamps is here

Unfortunately you have to phone them though as the USPS website does not do international shipping of stamps but they are pretty clued up at customer services.

Also a cheep way to phone is put a couple pound on a skype account and use skype. Costs me about 15p a phone call.

As a side.

The canadian postal service also do international stamps which you can order online to be shipped to the UK.

But be aware they ship by surface mail so it takes approx 6 weeks as it comes over on the boat.

Hope that helps.
Thanks again for all your help and advice. So one Global forever stamp would be absolutely fine for a 6x8 envelope coming back to the UK from the US?

Totally agree with what you say stillluckyas13canbe.

Put the leg work in and the world is your oyster.

I have managed to get a birthday card from Kiefer Sutherland thanks to a big favor from a lovely lady where he was.

And yes I know all about secs etc but I know this is 100% authentic for various reasons.

E.g. She thanked him for signing the card and he told her a story of how the card got lost. :)

So never give up. You never know what is around the corner.

Thank you very very very much for this information Cards4mywife. I will most certainly buy some of those stamps now I know about them. Thanks ever so much. :)

Thank you also stillluckyas13canbe for that piece of advice.
Always happy to help, there's always a chance in this game that one person gets something no one else does, but generally the bases are loaded for certain celebrities. It's always wise to check things out before writing to big guns :)

Above poster is bang on the money, you can also buy US stamps off eBay for a small premium from sellers there.

At the risk of sounding deeply sarcastic (as always eh?) an agency changing addresses is not going to lead to Daniel Craig suddenly signing. He very rarely signs authentic via there, even I have only managed two over the years, and believe me, I try very hard to get them.

PS... it may be costly sending to the states, but if you know someone is 90% good VV for exampe, then if you don't send a bunch of letters to UK people who are known not to sign authentically via an agents address, then you'll save enough money to send some letters abroad. #weetipthere
