I've seen other successes from him take 30 days or more...I don't think he'd trash it. He may send it back unsigned. I've seen free successes but he doesn't usually put his HOF inscription. I'd keep your hopes up on this one...just give it time.

Sent an 2005 UD Signs of Cooperstown card that I had already had signed by Bobby Doerr to Wade Boggs on 8/30/13. Rec'd it back signed with HOF inscription on 9/7/13. Sent w/ $10 donation.
