And just so you guys know I clarifed with a mod the other day forum rules, you aren't suppose to comment on if it's real unless the orginal poster asks you to comment. It's a rule that isn't well enforced anymore, but it is there.
You did not clarify with a "
moderator". There are no written rules, anywhere, which say authenticity is not to be commented on. People should, in my opinion, comment on authenticity when it is clearly not authentic.
I will change my stance if you can prove these rules.
Actually I did after you posted when I was asking about it in another post, a mod got one and said that yes it was a rule and no the rules have not changed. But that the mods are given very little power to actually enforce it. You can go back and read that post if you like. That is all I have to say on the subject. And if someone is happy with what they got then it is a success, regardless of if you guys think it's a success, success is if someone is happy with what they got. Stop taking the fun out of things by raining on someone's parade, if they are happy even if its an AP let them be happy. Geeeeesh
The purpose of pointing out it's an AP is not to belittle a success (though I don't personally consider it to be a success) it is because others may spend money on sending to people when they only get something they could print themselves off a computer. It is also to let them know if they don't know already that they don't have a real signature. Just to follow up James' point, you didn't actually clarify it with a Mod, you asked one of the numerous "trainee mods" who as I said were appointed en masse a few years ago by Admin in one of his random modes. Moderators appear in YELLOW print, and as far as I am aware, there are only two full Mods who take an active role in the forum. I did look about though, and I don't see any evidence of that rule, and I certainly don't recall it though, as I said, it's possible it was out there in the days where people commented out of spite and lying and faking results wasn't so prevalent on here. Nowadays it is unrealistic to expect people not to comment, and many (myself included) will not sit back and congratulate someone on wasting time and money on something that isn't an actual signature. I really fail to see how this is a difficult concept. If someone does know where that rule is printed, then it might be an idea to bring it to the attention of a Mod so it can be removed.
PS... you don't really need to point out to James that Mods have limited powers these days, after all I am sure you can see the colour his username is.
