I apologize for the late post, but I thought this could help some people who got failures from Berra or Musial. My first suggestion is send something that will not be worth much on ebay, such as an index card, they will be more likely to sign an index card for free than an 8X10 or baseball. The second suggestion is to address the players real name ex. Stanley Frank Musial or Lawrence Peter Berra, it worked for me, I just got Stan Musial for free on an index card and addresses the envelope "Mr. Stanley Frank Musial"

Thought you might like to know that Yogi's family is the muesum staff that controls all autograph request. I have bought so much from them that his sons Larry, Dale and I are on first name basis. Yogi's daughter-in-laws are also heavily involved with the running of the museum...

The people like coachk28 that are stupid enough to fork out the $100 refuse to believe it though because they think it isn't fair that someone else got for free what they were willing to over pay for. Well though luck to them.

Yogi's PSA/DNA items sell for less then the $100 fee he is charging meaning that the majority of fans don't even think his autograph is worth what he is charging.
I don't think coachk28 is concerned with people getting free autos or not. If you want a cheap auto, go on ebay and buy one. What we are saying that if you don't want you item sent back unsigned and you want a guaranteed signature, pay the fee. I don't care if people get free autographs...good for them. I've gotten a lot of free autographs over the years from guys that charge. The problem with people just mailing him stuff with no fee is that these people encourage others to expect items for free. If you get something free back then congrats...but do not expect a free autograph.
Couldn't have said it better!

I've gotten a Berra card back signed with no fee in less than a week

I have sent 2 Cards to Berra with no fee well over a year ago. They have not been returned. Pay the fee! You pay the fee it will come back from everything I have ever seen. Having the signatures you have on that photo, that would be the only way to do it sending to Berra. The only other way you are going to pull it off is to send the photo to Steiner Sports, who regularly hold signings with Berra, but if you think Berra charges a lot, try going through Steiner Sports and you will think Berra is cheap. I have followed the mesage boards for a long time on Berra. Do not send it to the Montclair home address, send it with the fee to his Museum. That way you know his museum staff is handling it and not his son who has a "great reputation".

I would send him 20 bucks with the photo. The photo is going to come back nevertheless, but including money just increases the odds of it coming back signed

I don't even have a Yogi graph in my collection. I only collect Chicago sports.

I could care less if someone gets a graph for free and I pay for it... or vice versa. That's great for them.

But unlike some of the uninformed collectors like yourself, I know which athletes charge and which ones are strict about not signing for free. Yogi charges more often than he signs for free.

So its always shocking when I see free successes!
