Success: I got a San Jose Sharks magnet,schedule,player cards,decal,etc I just sent a letter to the San Jose Sharks and they replied back in a week

He sent a post card to them and they paid the postage for his package. As for e-mail, he tried that and they replied that all requests had to be mailed in to them and that they could not process requests via e-mail.

He sent a postcard to the address on their webpage asking for a fan pack and they sent the pack within a week. Pretty cool pack in my opinion. It has a magnet, several stickers, player cards (which he is now sending to players for autos), schedule, etc.
