Yea, I was able to get him earlier in the year c/o his home on a custom HOF card that I had made...its a legit sig. The B&W photo came from the University, where apparently all of his home mail is being forwarded now so there is no chance of getting any of your items signed personally.

Yeah old Dean's been in bad health recently. Then again my theory is once someone hits 70 and they stop signing I don't hold anything against them. I heard Dean, when he was in good health, would sign TTM though. The sad thing about it is that most all of the college coaches will sign TTM, except for Roy Williams. To be a true blue Tar-Heel fan you hate to see a coach shy away from the fans, mean while Carolin's #1 rival Duke's Coach K seems more than willing to sign.

On 6-14-11, I sent a LOR, asking for an autographed picture, to Dean Smith @:

Dean Smith
The University of North Carolina
Men's Basketball
Athletic Departement
P.O. Box 2126
Chappell Hill, NC
27515

On 7-11-11, I received the same black and white 8X10 picture of Dean Smith that the last guy on this message board who got Smith received, but the signature on the photo is a fake PP. The signature is exactly the same as the other Dean Smith "success" on this site. I also got the exact same letter the last dude got. The funny thing was that the letter said that the item that I sent along to be signed is enclosed in the envelope....I didn't send anything to be signed. All in all, disappointing failure, but not all that bad considering I didn't waste a SASE or lose an item.
