Very nice reply. I just sent him a ball, Yankees cap and extra card. He also sent me a 1 page letter telling me of his Navy days and that means more to me than the things he signed. Class act all the way! Great bonus he sent you. He told me to send whatever I wanted signed, but living in Illinois I can't find any Tiger items to send :(

Sent hand written letter to Virgil on 6/29/11. I've gotten his auto several times before so I sent him a letter not requesting an autograph but asked a couple questions about certain games he played and players he got to play with. Rec'd it back today. He was nice enough to send me a 2 page hand-written letter answering all of my questions...absoultely amazing success. And even though I told him that I wasn't requesting an auto, he still sent me a 2011 Topps Certified autographed baseball card (That Topps hasn't even released yet)...he said he signed about 500 of them for Topps. Great succes.
