Hello admin!
Thank you too!!!
I am very impressed with your forum, work and commitment you put to "propagate" the idea of collecting autographs of famous personalities from all over the world!
I am proud to be "here" on this forum for 15 years (exactly November 27, 2007...)
I am sorry that in these 15 years I have posted "only" 13 entries, but it will change for sure
Collecting autographs is one of my first passions. It has been running continuously since 2006. In my collection I have the signatures of such personalities as:
- popes † St. John Paul II, † Benedict XVI, Francis, Fr. Cardinal † Józef Glemp, Primate of Poland,
- presidential couples † Barbara and Wojciech Jaruzelski, Danuta and Lech Wa??s, Jolanta and ALeksander Kwa?niewski, † Maria and Lech Kaczy?ski, Anna and Bronis?aw Komorowski, Agata and Andrzej Duda.
In addition, I value the autographs of such leaders and politicians as: † Vaclal Havel, Nicolas Sarkozy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and even the Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and many thousands of more and less famous people.
Currently, I have sent over 10,000 autograph letters and received approximately 1,800 returns (I also count returns, e.g. due to non-delivery). Collecting autographs, however, is an expensive hobby that requires a lot of patience. Currently in my collection I have autographs from about 500 people, including: Bill Gates, Paulo Coelho, † Muhammad Ali, Pele, Diego Maradona, † Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Jane Fonda, Chuck Norris or † Wis?awa Szymbroska , † Gabriela Kownacka, † Wojciech Kilar. There are many more autographs (about 2,000), as I have more than one signature from most people.
It is not always possible to get the autograph of your dreams. You can "forget" about the signature of Queen Elizabeth II. Under diplomatic protocol, the British Queen is not allowed to send autographs. It is just as difficult to get an autograph from the President of the United States. As I was informed by a letter from the White House, the number of signatures the President may sign during his term is limited. The presidents of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenka, and the presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin, are also resistant.
None of my investments have given me as much fun as autographs because they make me feel like I am holding a piece of history in my hands. It is a small trace of human existence, it is like a preserved human soul. For me, the signatures of famous people are much more than just "ink on scraps of paper".
It may sound paradoxical but I do not know why it attracted me so much. My goal in 2006 was getting autographs of my idols ... I thought and started sending letters wherever I could: heads of state, politicians, sportsmen, movie and music stars. After receiving them, the joy was so great that I decided to get another one ... and so to this day.
Currently, I have less and less time to collect them, so usually it is several dozen signatures a year, but very valuable.
However, I am sure that this is my life passion ... which I will not give up for any treasures
Please accept my wishes of all the best, perseverance and success, as well as the implementation of plans and intentions both in private and professional life.
Thank you and I join a handshake!
Good luck collecting,
Mateusz from Poland
