When I ship it, I purchase loose stamps for the same amount. In this case, it was $2.14. It appears that for some reason, Mr. Groom added $.49 to it. The post office will also give you a free tracking sticker, which helps alleviate the issues with mailing an item over 13 ounces with stamps.
