Buckner is a good signer, and for $10. bucks thats not bad at all. Some players on here charge 40-60 bucks. Sadly for Red Sox fans, Bill is a big part of history. Paying 10 bucks for a signed card is well worth it. But its up to you.

Ok thanks!! Out of all athletes, don't you think Buckner would be nice and try to get a fan population? I was just thinking as a joke to send monopoly money, but I wont do that!
Thanks guys

It is no secret that Buckner has been charging $10 per autograph for several years. I know you are disappointed, but I would suggest doing a bit of research before sending to athletes to see if they charge and if so, how much. If you don't belong to a website that provides this information, several of us here will help you find the answer. Good luck with your future requests.

If you're just looking for his signature, then it was a bad success. But since you wanted it on the card, it's a failure. Personally, if I sent an item and had them handwrite me a note back saying I need to send money, I wouldn't bother sending them the $$ for the autograph. Personally, I think that's selfish and just dumb seeing as you provided an SASE and card and a nice letter.

But if you REALLY want the autograph, just write him a short letter saying "please sign this" and the $10. No need to waste time by writing him another nice letter that he obviously doesnt even care about.

It's totally up to you. If you're happy with a sample of his writing, you got it. His actual autograph is a bit better than how he signed the not, plus you were hoping it get it on a card. Totally your call.

I sort of agree....I mean I wrote a really nice letter to him and he put more effort into writing the note than signing a card.

If your goal was to get Buckner's autograph on the card then it is a failure.
