Fanmail

Sent LOR and SASE on 6/1/11 to Jimmy Carter address on database. After I sent it, I read other posts that said if you don't send your own picture for her to sign, she will certainly send you a preprint. I got a little sad. One day I found a really nice photo of her but on a postcard (4x6). I thought I'd give it a shot and sent the postcard for her to sign on 6/23/11. The next week I got the post card returned saying the Former First lady would not sign somthing like that. I pouted again. I thought I'd just lost out on her. Well on 8/15/11 I received my very first original envelope back with a personally autographed photo. The photo was the exact same photo on the postcard I sent her earlier. So now I know that she doesn't sign anything smaller than an 8x10.

It seems like folks do different things on different days depending on how much they have to do that day. I have read some people saying they got preprints from President Carter and Rosalynn. I just sent my LOR & SASE to both and got original personalized photos to me.

just keep trying folks, don't give up.
