Douglas Andrew Mientkiewicz (/m?nt?ke?v?t?/ mint-KAY-vitch; born June 19, 1974 Toledo, OH) is an American retired professional baseball first baseman, who most recently served as the manager for the Toledo Mud Hens. He is one of five players to win both an Olympic gold medal and a World Series championship, which he won at the 2000 Summer Olympics and with the 2004 Boston Red Sox.
