I get my pictures printed at Fred Meyer (also known as Kroger). I usually get glossy but started getting matte. The Rose Marie and Newhart were matte. I wonder if the printing was defective or something. I had no probs with their glossy so I'll prob stick with that. Sadly a couple of other requests were mailed off too from this printing. I hope they come back okay.

Are you using glossy or matte paper? I always use matte because glossy will smear instantly unless it is let to dry for about a a minute or two.

I think you had the Rose Marie come back like this, too. It's definitely the photo type you are using. Their pens are not adhering to the photo properly.
FYI, some celebrities (Bob and Rose, too) will actually send you 8x10 photos that are signed.
If you are getting smaller photos to send to save on postage consider sending them large SASEs to receive their photos and it would be better than getting the photos with smeared autos, I think.

I don't know what paper you use but I get all my images professionally printed on high quality Fujifilm matt paper and I've never had one smudged yet and the pare is amazing quality and thicker than normal paper.

Sent Bob Newhart photo, fan letter, and SASE on 02/03/2016. Got it back personalized and signed on 02/23/2016. Sadly it got smeared in the mail- there was ink from it inside the envelope. Used Amapola Ln address in database. Will probably try again.

This is the second autograph to do this for me. Any advice? I know it's pretty rainy here in Oregon or maybe they're just putting the photo in the envelope before it has a chance to dry.
