Clarence Childs..Date of Birth: January 13, 1938, in Lakeland, Florida (75 years old)Clarence Childs was drafted by the Boston Patriots in 1961 as a defensive back. He was then quickly signed as a free agent by the New York Giants. After spending one season on the taxi squad and serving two years in the U.S. Army in Germany he finally made the team. In mid-August 1968, the N.Y. Giants traded Childs to the St. Louis Cardinals. His time with the Cardinals lasted only a week when they released him. He then went to the Chicago Bears and spend most of the season on the taxi-squad before being called up to play the remaining four games of the season.
