Mary Kennedy is an Irish TV host employed by the Irish state broadcaster, RTÉ. She joined the station in the early 1970s as a continuity announcer. She later became part of the RTÉ news team as it progressed into the 1990s. In 1995, she was chosen as the host of the Eurovision Song Contest. (which was won by Norway, but one of the winning performers was Irish.). Today she is the co-host of Nationwide, a regional affairs programme on RTÉ One Television.
