Yep. I agree with this. I've never seen a Josh auto with a curve like that. For example, here's one from earlier this year:

Notice that he was rushed because there was a line of people to get through. Even so, the J definitely has a pointy aspect, unlike this one.

OP, you said you didn't ask, but you could. ;-) If they say that they were obtained in-person, at same time or event, I would be very skeptical that they are both real. Josh has never signed like that (to my knowledge). There is also a chance the left one is authentic and the right is a fake. Maybe an attempt to have a "matching set" by forgery. Idk, it depends largely on who this friend is and whether or not they want to lie to you.

The thing about this hobby is that one can never be 100% sure about the authenticity of autographs (TTM, VV, gifts, purchases), unless obtained directly from the celeb. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's downright frustrating!
