Mel Brooks success - June 18th, 2022
Sent three-page fan letter/LOR, paddleball game ('Blazing Saddles' reference), and SASE on 3/29/22 to:
Brooksfilms Ltd., 9336 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232.
Along with the original contents I'd sent (including paddleball game, unsigned), received 8x10 (possible preprint) inscribed "All the Best! Mel Brooks" in SASE on 4/27/22.
Would've been nice to have gotten the paddleball signed ("This friggin' thing is warped!") but happy to have gotten anything back.
Mel's 95 and still my idol. May the Schwartz be with him... always.

Mel Brooks (Semi) Success - September 11th, 2020
Mailed a photo with LOR and SASE on 5/30/20 to 'Mel Brooks Brooksfilms, Ltd. 9336 W. Washington Blvd. Culver City, CA 90232 USA' and received it back, unsigned, with a signed headshot on 9/11/20. It does not appear to be a pre-print and I don't know how to recognize if its autopen. Disappointing, but better than nothing.
