Recieved in SASE: 3 cards, letter of apology.
Basically, he just said that he doesn't sign because of the large volume of mail he recieves.

Cal Ripken (Orioles great) failure - September 20th, 2011 On 8/26/2011, I sent a card, letter and SASE to Cal Ripken at Ripken Baseball in Baltimore. On 9/19/2011 I received a letter saying that it was impossible for him to sign every request made of him. I totally understand that because he is still one of the most popular athletes in America. He is a great signed in person. When I was in college, I saw him come to Charlotte to play the AA team there. He took a few swings in batting practice and then walked around the stadium singing autographs and talking story with fans. He is a class act, so I'm not upset at this failure. I knew it was a long shot, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I am loading a picture of the letter his secretary sent.
