I wrote a fan letter and sent a sase along with a $25.00 donation, a Montreal Expos cap and baseball card to Baseball Hall of Famer Andre Dawson. He was nice enough to sign the items for me and mailed them back to my home address.

Andre Dawson success x2 on ROMLB - November 2nd, 2011
I sent two baseballs to the Andre Dawson foundation on 9-29-2011. I sent $30, Sase, and a lor. Got both back signed today with a price list. He didnt add hof inscription like I asked but I only sent 30 bucks. Im gonna send then off again and see if I can get the inscriptions.

Andre Dawson Success! - May 23rd, 2011
Hello,
On 4-20-11 I sent a HOF postcard and $20 check made out to the Andre Dawson Foundation to Mr. Andre Dawson and today, 5-23-11 I received it back signed! As always, I love the players that sign for charity! A very nice addition to my collection.

Sent on March 31st, 2011. Received back on April 9th, 2011. Signed in thin blue sharpie. Card was undamaged. Included a price list for flats, balls, equipment, etc. PM for more details. All proceeds go to his foundation. |
