How to send your fan mail and autograph requests to Vint Cerf?:

If you want to request an autograph, follow the guidelines bellow. If you just want to mail a letter with the address above, and do not want anything back, then you can stop reading! If you live in USA send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo. You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Send your letter and wait. On average, there is going to be a 3+ month wait for a response. If you do not live in USA, add several* International Reply Coupons. The International Reply Coupons (IRC) will be used by the receiver to purchase american stamps. You can only get them at your post office. Place the IRCs into the envelope, not on it. For more information on reply coupons click here. *For information on postage prices to receive a letter from USA click here

10/31/2009 - I had written to Mr. Cerf in past with no replys, then I emailed him at Google. He was such a nice guy he emailed me back a nice letter and sent me a autographed photo for my historic signatures collection. I am so glad to get this one for it is my field of studies in college. I emailed 12 October 2009 and received on 29 October 2009. Thanks again members for another happy moment in my collections.

5/19/2009 - So a few days ago I wrote to Vint Cerf requesting two autographs; one for my teacher and one for myself. He was kind enough to send me both and inscribe both of them. I already gave one away to my teacher but this is what it looks like...

6/30/2008 - Sent Email: June 17, 2008 Received June 30, 2008 Address used: Dr. Vint Cerf's personal email address I sent an email to Dr. Vinton Cerf telling him that for a fun summer project we are sending out for autographs of some of our favorite personalities. I wrote that without him inventing the internet, I would not have a job right now as an internet support technician. He wrote back the same day stating: [quote:Dear Matt, What a great idea! I will be happy to send you a signed photo - do you want it to be made out in your child's name?[/quote: Today in the mailbox got back a 5x7 glossy photo signed in GOLD ink with the mailing address in my daughters name!! The ink is really shiny in person. The scan didnt pick it up that well. Fantastic autograph & probably one of my favorites so far. Heres the 5x7:
