If you live in USA send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo. You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Send your letter and wait. I wrote a letter to the actress Chandra Wilson of the TV-serie "Grey's anatomy) on 29/05/06.
I used the address in the database like you can see on the envelope.
I recieved today my letter back as an RTS. No further comment on the envelope en the envelope was open.

Chandra kindly paid for postage and used her own envelope. Unfortunately the photograph isn't personalized but hey, I'm not complaining 
This is my first Grey's success actually, even though I have written to T.R, Sandra and Ellen.
I love Chandra on the show. She is hilarious
