How to send your fan mail and autograph requests to Cal Ripken?:

7/19/2008 - Today i got back a reply from Cal Ripken. He sent a letter saying that hes looking back on his career,spending time with his family,and is too busy to fufill all autograph requests. thats totally understandable, but wouldnt it be just as easy to send out a pp? oh well at least he replied.

Hey every1 this is my first time posting. I wrote to Mr Ripken on 3/19/08 recieved a letter back today 3/29 the letter was addressed to me and even said dear chris. It went on to say he couldn't reply to all autograph requests and hopes I understood. The only problem I had with it was if he's having someone send these letters out personalized why not just make up a bunch of PP's and send them out. I think people would be happier with a Cal Ripken Jr. PP than a letter denying their request. Does any1 have any thoughts? Continue >> |
2/14/2008 - Received letter back from Cal Ripken's Donations Coordinator - can't/won't even send a signed photo - big disappointment because I know his would have brought in "big bucks" for us. I have already had a couple people tell me that they would "get a 2nd mortgage" to bid on anything from him. Oh well, maybe he just doesn't "like horses/animals". Big, big disappointment. |
