If you live in USA send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo. You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Send your letter and wait. On average, there is going to be a 3+ month wait for a response. If you do not live in USA, add several* International Reply Coupons. The International Reply Coupons (IRC) will be used by the receiver to purchase american stamps. You can only get them at your post office. Place the IRCs into the envelope, not on it. 5/11/2007 - I am totally excited to get a response back from her. I tried before with the old address on the forum and got a return to sender and then was given the new address and got a quick response. Mary Lou is truly my hero so this meant the world to me. I sent a letter and SASE and received a beautiful 9x11 colored photograph signed with her win date and USA printed on it. The photograph was taken at her gold metal performance at the Olympic games. NO SCANNER..Sent 4-20-07 and received 5-11-07

8/29/2005 - sent her a 3x5 index card and she mailed me an autographed photo of her plus she signed my 3x5 card as well...mailed 1-11-05 and got it back 1-28-05
