11/10/2009 - Well, not really. It's just that I see a lot of Doris Day successes, and I just finally got mine! I sent a PILLOW TALK dvd cover and a LOR telling Doris all about the dogs I've known and loved, as well as a SASE on August 19th. It was a banner day for me, the reason I got into autograph collecting in the first place! Well, it finally came back to me. Doris (or her secretary) writes succinctly, "Hello, Ethan, love Doris Day", which sounds like an invitation to me. I only sent one dvd cover, because she didn't need to tell me twice. And now, I'm a little sad because this is the first success I've had where I doubt it's authenticity. I'd love Doris's autograph, more than anyone else's. The secretary thing is horrible. I wish they'd just refuse, or send out pre-prints rather than forgeries. I'll pretend it's real. Here's me pretending really hard:

11/03/2009 - i sent a letter and SASE around 10/17/09 and got a personalized, autographed photo back on 11/2/09! i wanted to give it to my dad for christmas, and i told her that so she wouldn't put any name on it (i didn't include my dad's name), but instead she signed it "to grace's father," so that was kinda funny. this is the address i used: Doris Day P.O.
