If you live in USA send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo. You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Send your letter and wait. 9/03/2008 - I am really excited about this one. I sent a LOR and SASE to Mr. Wooden around 4 months ago. I had almost given up hope. However, today when I opened up the mailbox, I found 3 pyramids of success signed "Best Wishes, John Wooden"!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so pumped up about this because not only am I a huge fan, but I also teach high school in MO. My students are reading his book "Wooden: A Lifetime of Observations on and Off the Court". I cannot wait to take these signatures in for them to see. They are going to get fired up about it.

7/11/2008 - after a dry spell in getting nothing the last few days, I got a nice signed picture of him. "To Kim, Best Wishes" then his name. Thought he would never or never signed and hes incredibly awesome and I am a huge basketball fan and especially college basketball. Sent in June sometime. Don't remember the date. Got today a nice signed personalized picture 8X10. Very cool and he was great as the UCLA couch with 88 straight wins in college hoops which awesome. No one ever beat that in basketball I dont think. I believe the Wooden award was named after him which is cool. He sent back the envelope I sent the letter in. Weird, but cool and I just threw it away since I dont need it. No scans. Sorry.
