If you want to request an autograph, follow the guidelines bellow. If you just want to mail a letter with the address above, and do not want anything back, then you can stop reading! If you live in UK send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo. You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Send your letter and wait. On average, there is going to be a 3+ month wait for a response. If you do not live in UK, add several* International Reply Coupons. 3/20/2008 - Well, with no thanks to Lexpo, i eventually found Sir Patricks home address (you can find it if you do a careful search on his official website) I wanted to write to his home address as this would be the easiest way to contact him, They film the sky at night from his home now and is quite immobile. so it would be easiest for him i believe.
Sent a letter index card and SASE to his Farthings home address on the 10th March 08 and only 10 days later received back my index card signed and personalized, 20th March 08. A authentically signed A4 photograph (not a pre print) a typed letter of thanks answering the question i asked him and inviting me to visit him if i am ever down in his neck of the woods and his contact card. I have airbrushed out his address and, amazingly enough, his home telephone number and mobile phone number which was on the letter and also on his contact card.
It never occured to me to write to him previously but I'm so glad i did. Such a lovely kind responce. Never know, may call his mobile some day and partake of conversation with him in person!
As you can see Sir Patrick still uses a old fashioned type write and so the letter has a few typo's, but i love it because of that.
I had asked him what his favorite/most memorable astrological sight was. The letter says,

Of course I'll help if i can.
My most memorable sight was a total eclipse of the sun.
Unrivaled in nature.
If you ever "come south", Let me know.
