1/19/2007 - Well this one is kind of bittersweet only because I was a guest of the Rams at their training camp facility in Macomb, IL 3 years ago when Kurt was still with the Rams. One of my good friends was a coach for the team and invited me and a few fellow officers out there. We got to eat with the players and got to hang around all the players and everything. It was basically full access up to the end of practice when the players got to ditch us basically. They were all cool though. I didn't get Kurt's autograph then because I pretty much thought that I was a guest of the Rams organization and didn't want to abuse it, although I did get a killer picture of me and Kyle Turley together! 2 muscle bound surfers hangin 10 for a kodak moment LOL! Anways, I sent 2 photos to Kurt and explained how I knew him and the coaches (in fact the coaches daughter babysat for Kurt's kids) and asked him to sign the photos. Well needless to say I get my photos back unsigned along with a letter of explanation stating why he couldn't accomodate my request... basically too many requests to fulfill them all. But his PR firm did include a Kurt Warner football card for both me and my son with an authentic Kurt Warner signature in fine tip blue sharpie on the lower right corner of the card. I'll just have to try him again after he retires and is off everyone's radar basically LOL.
