How to send your fan mail and autograph requests to Patch Adams?:
|
If you want to request an autograph, follow the guidelines bellow. If you just want to mail a letter with the address above, and do not want anything back, then you can stop reading!
If you live in USA send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo.
You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes.
Send your letter and wait. On average, there is going to be a 3+ month wait for a response.
If you do not live in USA, you can purchase your american stamps here

Dr. Patch Adams Success! - June 19th, 2016 Dr. Patch Adams is a physician and social activist who founded the Gesundheit! Institute in 1971 with the goal of integrating traditional medicine with alternative medicine as well as performing arts, crafts, nature, agriculture, and recreation. One of the continued missions of the Gesundheit! Institute involves the concept of "humanitarian clowning", each year organizing a group of volunteers from around the world to travel to various countries where they dress as clowns in an effort to bring humor to orphans, patients, and other people. He was the subject of the 1998 comedy Patch Adams starring Robin Williams.
Dr. Adams is known for rarely signing autographs, so I didn't have high hopes for hearing back from him. However, after just 15 days, I received my photo back in my SASE with an inscription and his trademark # symbol. He also included a form letter explaining that he didn't sign autographs, but hand wrote at the bottom that he's not even sure why he signed my photo. Whatever the reason, I'm certainly glad he did!
