How to send your fan mail and autograph requests to the 'The Clash'?:

If you want to request an autograph, follow the guidelines bellow. If you just want to mail a letter with the address above, and do not want anything back, then you can stop reading! If you live in UK send a properly stamped and self addressed envelope (minimum size 8.5" x 4") with your request letter and a photo. You can include a piece of cardboard to keep the photo from bending in shipping and also add "Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Send your letter and wait. On average, there is going to be a 3+ month wait for a response. If you do not live in UK, add several* International Reply Coupons. The International Reply Coupons (IRC) will be used by the receiver to purchase english stamps. You can only get them at your post office. Place the IRCs into the envelope, not on it. 2/01/2008 - Sent : 8 January 2008 - letter, photo, SAE Recieved : 1 February 2008 - my photo back unsigned, with a letter saying "Dear Michelle, Thank you for your letter to Mick Jones, Unfortuantly we are unable to pass on your photo to be signed, so am sending it back to you." (poor grammar and spelling as is on the letter) Address used : 1 Blythe Road London W14 0HG U.K Really disappointed. I love The Clash to bits, and was hoping to get Mick's autograph as I had recently recieved Paul Simonon's. That his manager couldn't ask him to take five seconds to sign one little photo for one big fan in South Africa, I don't know {down}

1/08/2008 - Sent : 23 November 2007 - photo, letter and s.a.e Recieved : 8 January 2008, an authentic autograph from Damon Albarn, a complete musical genius and legend!! He's the singer/lyricist/frontman of Blur, Gorillaz, and currently for The Good, The Bad & The Queen. I'm SO :shock: and HAPPY as he is a complete hero of mine and I really love his work to bits. If you haven't heard anything of his, go find it! Real music, people.

He now plays for The Good, The Bad & The Queen. I'm SO :shock: and HAPPY as he is a complete hero of mine and thee best bass-guitarist ever. It says 'Hello Michelle, Paul Simonon'...plus little stars everywhere :lol:
